Skincare application guide

Use every step with purpose - not pressure.

A useful skincare routine does not need to be long or complicated.

Learn the order, technique and everyday habits that help products sit comfortably on the skin, and make a routine easier to repeat.

Always follow the instructions on the product label, as every formula is used differently and every person’s skin has different needs.
01 / ORDER

Cleanse, care, finish

Apply treatment products after cleansing, then finish with moisturizer, and sunscreen in the morning.

02 / TOUCH

Gentle beats forceful

Use light, even pressure. More rubbing does not make skincare work better.

03 / RHYTHM

Consistency over complexity

A simple routine used regularly is easier to understand, assess and maintain.

Your routine, from first step to last.

These sequences are a practical starting point - not a requirement to own every product type. Optional steps can be left out whenever your skin does not need them.

AM

Morning routine

The morning routine prepares skin for the day and finishes with daily sun protection. Keep it comfortable beneath makeup or other products.

Cleanse gently

Use lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser, then pat, do not scrub, the skin dry.

If your skin feels tight after cleansing, reconsider the product, water temperature or frequency.
Optional

Apply a serum or treatment

Spread a thin, even layer on clean skin and follow the formula's directions.

Use one targeted step at a time when you are learning what suits your skin.
Optional

Care for the eye area

Tap on a small amount around the orbital bone without tugging the delicate skin.

Keep products out of the eye unless the label specifically says otherwise.

Moisturise

Smooth moisturiser over the face and neck. Applying it to slightly damp skin can help hold on to moisture.

Oily-feeling skin can still benefit from a lightweight moisturiser.

Protect with SPF

Apply broad-spectrum, water-resistant SPF 30 or higher generously as the last skincare step.

Reapply about every two hours outdoors, and after swimming or sweating.
PM

Evening routine

The evening routine removes makeup, sunscreen, sweat and daily build-up before applying any targeted care and moisturiser.

When needed

Remove makeup or sunscreen

Use a suitable remover when wearing heavier makeup or water-resistant sunscreen.

This is an extra first step, not an invitation to over-scrub.

Cleanse gently

Massage cleanser lightly over damp skin, rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.

Clean skin should feel comfortable, not squeaky or stripped.
Optional

Use a treatment

Apply the treatment directed for evening use. Begin cautiously and follow its label for amount and frequency.

Avoid introducing several strong active products at the same time.
Optional

Add eye care

Tap a small amount around the eye area with a light touch, avoiding the lash line unless directed.

Your usual moisturiser may be enough if a separate eye product is not needed.

Finish with moisturiser

Apply an even layer over the face and neck to support a hydrated, comfortable skin feel overnight.

Choose texture by comfort: lighter or richer does not automatically mean better.
Application notes

How much, where and how?

The label is the best guide for a specific formula. When it gives no special direction, aim for a thin, even application and a comfortable finish.

Clean hands · gentle pressure · even coverage
01

Cleanser

Use enough to move easily over damp skin. Massage lightly, rinse well and avoid very hot water. Cleanse no more than twice daily and after heavy sweating unless your clinician advises differently.

02

Serums & treatments

Use the amount and frequency stated on the label. A few drops may be enough for some serums, but concentrated products differ. More product does not mean faster results.

03

Eye care

Use a very small amount and tap around the orbital bone with a fingertip. Avoid pulling the skin or placing cosmetic products directly in the eye.

04

Moisturiser

Use enough for a light, even layer over face and neck. Apply while skin is slightly damp if that feels comfortable and the preceding treatment allows it.

05

Sunscreen

Apply generously and evenly to exposed skin. Remember easy-to-miss areas such as ears and neck. Follow the label for application and reapplication.

06

Layering time

You usually only need enough pause for each layer to settle comfortably. Long waiting periods are unnecessary unless the product directions say otherwise.

Why routine matters

The benefit is not more steps. It is better habits.

Skincare cannot change every feature of skin, but a considered routine can support how it feels, looks and responds to daily exposure.

Clean comfort

Gentle cleansing helps remove daily build-up without relying on aggressive scrubbing.

Hydrated appearance

Regular moisturising can help skin feel softer and look smoother and more supple.

Barrier support

A gentle routine and suitable moisturiser can help support a comfortable skin barrier.

Daily protection

Consistent broad-spectrum sunscreen use helps protect skin from harmful ultraviolet exposure.

Before a full application

Patch test. Introduce slowly. Pay attention.

A new product can still cause a reaction even when its ingredients sound familiar. Test it first and avoid changing several parts of your routine at once.

STEP 01

Choose a small area

Apply to a discreet test spot, following the directions for that type of product.

STEP 02

Repeat for 7–10 days

Test twice daily for 7–10 days unless the label gives different safety instructions.

STEP 03

Stop if skin reacts

Discontinue use if irritation develops. Seek medical care for a severe or persistent reaction.

The best routine

Simple enough to understand. Gentle enough to repeat.

Start with the essentials, observe how your skin responds and add only what has a clear purpose. Lasting skincare habits are built through attention, not perfection.
